Dress or undress to your comfort level. For treatments like massages, therapists will provide a towel for modesty (draping) and offer disposable underwear. Most guests will opt to wear swimwear and their robe to the spa area, where they can discuss with their therapist what level of dress will be most suitable for their treatment.
The Athenaeum Club's dress code, aside from gym and swim wear, is smart casual. Admission may be refused by the Management if they deem any member or guest to be improperly dressed. No outdoor footwear is permitted in the gym, spa, and pool area. Swimwear, wet or otherwise, is not permitted in the gymnasium, bistro, lounge, library, saloon or reception area. All spa guests are required to wear secured robes or smart casual dress in all dining and social facilities.
Historically the Athenaeum Club has had a strict no-phone policy throughout the club however with the modern era we understand the necessity of mobile device use throughout the day. For this reason we now operate a seen but not heard phone policy, with any and all phone calls to be taken in the saloon only.
Yes, the club has a large car park at the main entrance which all members and guests alike are welcome to park in upon visiting. We kindly ask that commercial vehicles are not parked in the club car park. Vehicles are left at the risk of the owner, The Athenaeum Club accepts no liability or responsibility for any loss, theft, vandalism, or damage caused to vehicles or property within these grounds.
